In the grounds of Glenfarquhar Lodge, this former bakehouse has been tastefully converted into a unique two bedroomed character property. The property was converted in 2007 to a very high standard, and has been equipped to a very good level.

This is the ideal setting for families and couples alike. The generous grounds offer large lawned areas in addition to private spacious nooks, and there are numerous private outside seating areas with a barbecue available.

The cottage enjoys close ample parking, right in front of the property.

This property sleeps up to 5 people comfortably, if you require accommodation for more than 5, please see P713818 (East Wing) which is 60 yards away.

A cot and highchair etc. are available on request.

The cottage is light and airy and the décor is warm and inviting with quality fittings throughout.

This is a non-smoking property, and I am sorry but we are not able to accept dogs.


A perfect property for anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle, but equally a good base for exploring North East Scotland, with its castles, whisky distilleries and lovely nearby coastline, to name but a few of its attractions. All accommodation is centrally heated with a combi boiler for constant hot water.

Entrance porch/boot room, large enough for a pushchair.

Living room:- A spacious double aspect Living/dining room, with 2 sofas - 1 of which is a sofa bed -, TV with DVD and freeview (small library) CD/Radio, Oak flooring with persian rug. Dining table and chairs for 4 people is supplied and up to 6 people can be seated as I have additional chairs.

Small book library and games, with tourist information and maps provided. Many more books are available, please request your favourite genre, and I will try to supply some.

Steps down to kitchen. A stair gate is available, and will be fitted upon request.

Kitchen:- Well appointed with ceramic hob and fan oven, extractor, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine/tumble dryer. A starter supply of tea, coffee and sugar will await you. All cleaning materials are also supplied, as are kitchen towel, tea towels and dishwasher powder.

Bathroom:- A spacious room with quality suite, large deep Bath with shower over, W.C. and basin. Loo rolls, hand soap and towels, and bath mat are all provided.

Bedrooms:- Both rooms are double aspect, and supplied with goose down duvets, and thick blackout lined curtains.

The larger room has a king size bed and also a single bed. There is a velux window above the king sized bed for those romantic starry nights, and a remote controlled blackout blind so that you get a goods nights sleep.

The smaller room is a lovely cosy room which has a superior quality double bed.

Both bedrooms are extremely well appointed, and all egyptian cotton linens and great towels are provided. The bedrooms are at opposite ends of the cottage, so great for privacy.

We have a cot, travel cot/playpen and high chair which are available - Please note that only a limited amount of cot linen is provided - including fitted sheet -as parents prefer to bring their own.

The grounds are extensive, and guests may make full use of them. There are large expanses of lawn, we have provided some lawn games to help you take advantage of them, boule, croquet, and badminton etc. and a great variety of trees, shrubs and flowers.

We also have free range hens roaming about.

Garden furniture and a large gas barbecue are supplied for the use of guests.

There are folding garden chairs available which guests are welcome to take for use on their picnics or visits to the beaches. I can also supply beach towels if you have forgotten your own, please just ask.There are sandwich bags and boxes and a flask too.

Located in Laurencekirk, this cottage is in a rural area. Aboyne Golf Club and Aberdeen Indoor Bowling Club are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those wishing to experience the area's natural beauty can explore Sands of St Cyrus and Falls of Feugh. Traveling with kids? Consider Stonehaven Outdoor Pool, or check out an event or a game at Curl Aberdeen. Swimming offers a great chance to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking/biking trails and cycling nearby.
