East Wing is a luxurious self contained ground floor wing of a Victorian country house. The property is situated in a tranquil and very attractive garden setting, in a quiet rural location, yet it is a convenient base for visiting the North East and Royal Deeside, being located 25 miles from Aberdeen and 40 miles from Dundee.

East Wing is refurbished in a style in keeping with its period, yet manages to combine Victorian charm with modern day convenience and luxury finishes. The property has been graded as 5* by the standards of the Visit Britain scheme, whilst at the same time being comfortable and feeling like a home from home. All the main rooms overlook the lovely gardens which offer loads of room for children to play in, or provide a relaxing place to walk or just sit and enjoy the view.

This is a non-smoking property, and I am sorry but we cannot accept dogs.

A perfect property for anyone looking for a quiet and relaxing break away from the hustle and bustle, but equally a good base for exploring North East Scotland, with its castles, whiskey distilleries and lovely nearby coastline, to name but a few of its attractions.

All accommodation is on the ground floor, and is centrally heated, with additional heating also provided. There is a fire blanket and smoke detection system installed.

Entrance porch/boot room, with a breakfasting table and chairs that can also be used outside. This area has space for a pushchair or bicycles.

There is one step up into the living room, and the property is on one level thereafter.

Living accommodation:- Spacious Living room/dining room, with 2 sofas - 1 of which is a sofa bed -, TV, DVD/Video (small library) CD/Radio, Parquet flooring with genuine Persian carpet. Dining table and chairs for up to 6 people.

Small library, games and tourist information and maps provided. There are more books available, please request more if you want them.

Bedrooms:- One king size double, and one twin bedded room. Curtains in both rooms are fitted with blackout linings in order that you have a great nights sleep. Each room is supplied with a hair-dryer and mirror.

Both bedrooms are well appointed and all linens and excellent quality towels are provided.

Kitchen:- Well appointed with ceramic hob and fan oven, extractor, fridge/freezer, microwave, washing machine/tumble dryer, also a breakfast table and seating. A starter supply of tea, coffee and sugar will await you. All cleaning materials, kitchen towel, and tea towels are also supplied.

Bathroom:- A very good quality newly fitted suite, Bath, W.C. and basin, and shower mixer. Hand soap and loo rolls, bath mat and anti slip mat also provided.

We have 2 cots, one is a full size adjustable wooden cot the other is a travel cot/playpen, and 2 high chairs are available - Please note that only a limited amount of cot linen is provided - including fitted sheet -as parents prefer to bring their own.

The grounds are extensive, and guests may make full use of them. There are large expanses of lawn, we have provided some lawn games to help you take advantage of them, boule, croquet, and badminton etc. and a great variety of trees, shrubs and flowers. Garden furniture and a large gas barbecue are supplied for the use of guests.

We also have chairs that you are welcome to borrow during your stay that you can take away for your picnics or visits to the beaches. I can also provide beach towels, please just ask.

All heating and electricity is included, and there is no charge for linens and towels.

There is parking on site, for at least 2 cars.

Tesco, Asda and Sainsbury all deliver to the house if you want to order in groceries.

Located in Laurencekirk, this cottage is in a rural area. Sands of St Cyrus and Falls of Feugh reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include Stonehaven Outdoor Pool and Aunty Bettys. Caledonian Railway and Deeside Activity Park are also worth visiting. Discover the area's water adventures with sailing and fishing nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with hiking and cycling.
