Climbing up the stairs, there is a double room, a twin room and a further single room, meaning the property has flexible sleeping arrangements that is ideal for families. Each room has a good amount of storage space to unpack your personal belongings, as well as cheerful décor and bright colours. Outside there is off-road parking for up to three cars, and an enclosed garden with a large lawn area for your furry friend to roam free and two sweet chairs with a table, to enjoy your morning coffee outdoors, or maybe even a glass of wine as the sun goes down across the countryside views. Maryculter is a rural village, sat next to the River Dee, and nearby is the The Den & The Glen which is a park with waterfalls and gardens, dotted with fairytale and nursery rhyme characters, which is a great afternoon out for children. Just a short drive away is Peterculter, which has a great selection of shops, pubs and eateries to enjoy an evening out, as well as a museum and an activity centre which teaches historic tales through attractions such as the river of Culter Burn, and the statue of Rob Roy Macgregor, a folk hero known for leaping across Cutler Burn to chase away Hanoverian troops. The city of Aberdeen is well worth the visit with its contrasting mixture of high cliffs, open farmland, rugged mountains, and then the sandy beaches and sea views, as well plenty of places to eat out, have a drink or do some shipping. Slightly further a far is the stunning Cairngorms National Park, which is great for an adventurous day out with great views, walking trails, cycle paths, outdoor activities, watersports, and the chance to spot some wildlife. For a versatile trip to explore Aberdeenshire, choose Storkery Cottage as your base.
