The land train is a great way to take in the scenic views of the bay and the harbour. From Bridlington you can catch the land train to the stately home of Sewerby Hall and Gardens. This is a great day out for the kids with a mini zoo, quiet picnic areas and lots of outdoor play areas. For the adults there are guided tours around the house and walled gardens. You can catch the train back or walk along the clifftops down into Bridlington.
Further along the coast you have the resorts of Flamborough Head, Filey and Scarborough. The RSPB bird sanctuary at Bempton, with its thousands of birds including gannets and puffins perched on the cliffs, is a bird spotters paradise. There are many stately homes in the area such as Burton Agnes Hall, Sledmere and the beautiful Castle Howard. You are ideally placed to visit Hull, with The Deep aquarium, and also the city of York, a medieval walled city rich in ancient history and full of cobbled streets and little alleyways, as well as a wealth of visitors attractions. Both cities can be reached within the hour by car which makes Kimi’s Happy Place the perfect base to discover all that Yorkshire has to offer. This is also an ideal choice for dog owners as the cottage welcomes your well-loved pet, who will be in heaven with all the nearby walking trails, as well as the beaches to explore. The property is named after the owners dog, Kimi, who had some of his happiest days here. His tail was always wagging, as he knew a day out at the beach was never far away. This will be a holiday your dog will enjoy as much as you, creating wonderful memories together. Beach 2 miles. Shop ½ mile, pub and restaurant ¾ miles.
