Margaret House is a fabulous Lake District holiday cottage situated in
the quaint village of Pooley Bridge. It sleeps eight people and has two
double bedrooms (both en-suites), a twin room and a bunk bedroom. The
ground floor features a kitchen, dining room, sitting room and access to
outside seating on the patio. It has off road parking for four cars.
Located just a short walk from all of Pooley Bridge’s amenities.

Amenities: Oil fired heating with woodburning stove (Logs not provided). Electric double oven, ceramic
hob, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, Smart TV
with Freeview, DVD player, WiFi. oil, electric and bed linen included. Towels are not provided. Travel Cot/highchair available. Parking off road with room for 4 cars. Outside seating area on the patio. No smoking or pets. Pub and shop 10 minutes walk, Ullswater Lake 15 mins walk. Note: Max 8 adults.

Region: Impressive mountains, open fells and clear-water lakes, the Lake District has it all. From walking in the mountains to exhilarating watersports or just a gentle cruise on a steam-powered yacht, Cumbria is the perfect holiday destination.

Town: Pooley Bridge is a traditional village with inn, cafe and shops. The surrounding area is home to numerous quaint Lakeland villages scattered along the shores of Lake Ullswater and Aira Force is a dramatic waterfall cascading into the lake below. Sharrow Bay Hotel is only a short drive away for the ultimate in dining and is renowned the world over or a trip over Kirkstone Pass brings you into Ambleside.

Located in Penrith, this cottage is in a rural area and on a river. Dalemain Country Park and The Eden Millennium Monument are local landmarks, and some of the area's attractions include Glenridding Sailing Centre and Lakeland Bird of Prey Centre. Traveling with kids? Consider Acorn Bank, or check out an event or a game at Keswick Climbing Wall. Fishing offers a great chance to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with rock climbing, horse riding, and hiking nearby.
