With its peaceful location and fantastic views up the fell at the rear you’ll love the backdrop to this property. Situated in a small row of terraced holiday cottages on a working beef and sheep farm and part of the Doddick Farm Cottages community, you’ll soon feel relaxed and ready for adventure. If you like great views and rugged landscape, this is the place for you. Doddick Chase Cottage is split over three floors with an open plan living room, dining room and kitchen on the ground floor. The first floor is home to a spacious bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath with handheld shower attachment and a good sized twin bed room. While the top floor is home to a spacious master bedroom with beamed ceilings and plenty of space. Just the ticket for a family of four and also great for couples to enjoy. It has plenty of parking and a picnic bench at the front to enjoy the sun all day.
Doddick Farm Cottages boasts an excellent location, just off the A66 which is the main route through the Northern Lakes from Penrith to Keswick and beyond you’ll find great access to Keswick, St John’s in The Vale and Threlkeld within a few miles and you have the choice of some fantastic pubs and restaurants nearby. The closest pub is ¾ of a mile while the village of Threlkeld with two excellent restaurants is just 1¼ miles. Keswick Golf Course is less than a mile away if you fancy a round surrounded by iconic Lakeland scenery. A 5-mile drive will take you to Keswick, regular visitors will know that this very popular town has something for everyone including fantastic pubs, restaurants, bars and great shopping options including a local market. From here you can hire a boat and sail or row around Derwentwater surrounded by amazing scenery. If you like walking you can access excellent routes up Latrigg and Catbells. Keswick is also home to some popular tourist attractions including The Theatre by The Lake, providing award-winning arts and drama. If you’re looking for family fun then you should try The Derwent Pencil Museum for an interactive family experience or Puzzling Place, a hands on attraction with mind-boggling optical illusions. If you want to go really wild check out The Lake District Wildlife Park at Bassenthwaite, 10 miles. With over 100 species of animals and daily shows, this is a fun-filled day out not to be missed.
