The Nest gives a stunning central location right in the market square, next to the bustling market, Ludlow castle, and the many pubs, restaurants and shops that Ludlow had to offer. Right in the centre of town but top floor location gives peace and quiet and stunning views looking north over the south Shropshire countryside with the long mynd in the distance. Please not that the top floor location means that there are several flights of stairs so NOT recommended for people with mobility issues.

When visiting the bustling black and white town Ludlow you couldn't be better located than this stunning central top floor one bed apartment. The Nest is located right in the heart of the popular tourist destination and right on its doorstep you will find the quaint Ludlow market hosting local produce, antiques, food and crafts. This award winning market is central life in Ludlow and is open all year round every Mon, Weds, Fri and Sat.

Captured through the bedroom window of The Nest and just a stone throw away you will also find one of the finest medieval ruins in England - Ludlow Castle. This historical monument is open to the public for a fee and is a must visit.

Guided daily tours of the town starting outside of the castle will introduce you to the history, architecture and life in Ludlow. However you may want to have your own wander around the beautiful medieval streets and find the hidden gems of independent shops and eateries.

'The Nest'

The building which the Nest is located is right on the market square of Castle street. You will see its beautiful large blue painted door which gives access to the main building by a code which will be provided to you before arrival. On entering the building of apartments you will see a long corridor beautifully tiled leading to a carpeted 4 flight staircase taking you to the first floor landing. On this spacious landing you will find locked double doors which are accessed by a key to enter the next level of stairs and apartments. The key to these doors and the apartment front door can be found in a lock key deposit box on the wall labelled 'The Nest' and is accessed by a code given to you prior to allocated checking in time. The Nest apartment can be found on the top floor of the building after another carpeted 3 flights of stairs. Unfortunately there is NOT a lift however its well worth the climb to see the fantastic views of the South Shropshire countryside.

PLEASE NOTE - As previously stated due to the amount of flight of stairs needed to be climbed to reach the apartment it is NOT suitable for people with serious mobility issues.

Upon entering the apartment through the main door you will find a porch and another door that leads onto a small corridor towards the open plan kitchen, dining area and living room. Off the same corridor the doors to the bathroom and bedroom are located.

Bedroom

The bedroom hosts a comforatble double bed with bedding, bedside tables with lamps, alarm clock and ample wardrobe space with a dressing table area, mirror, stool and hairdryer. Also in the end wardrobe you will find a mini ironing board and iron. The bedroom is light and airy due to 3 generous sized windows. At night black out curtains can be drawn to block out any light.

Bathroom

The bathroom has a generous sized tiled walk in shower cubicle with electric shower, sink, mirror, toilet and heated towel radiator.

Kitchen

The kitchen has a generous amount of cupboard space, kitchen table and 4 chairs, under the counter fridge/freezer, microwave, combined washer/dryer, sink and drainer, electric oven and hob, toaster, kettle, Tassimo coffee machine, pots and pans, dishcloth, kitchen towel, cutlery and utensils.

Provided within your booking to make your stay more comfortable are:-

*Tea, coffee, peppermint tea, sugar, sweetner
* A small selection of coffee pods for machine
* Salt and pepper
* Small amount of condiments such as ketchup and vinegar
* Small bottle of semi skimmed milk enough for a few cup of teas.
*Washing up liquid
*Hand wash (kitchen and bathroom)
*Foil and cellophane
*A few toilet rolls
*Cafetiere

*Please note - we ask you to NOT take any of these items home with you please as they are for the use of other visitors also.

Heating and hot water

The apartment is heated using radiators throughout and can be controlled using a thermostat found on the wall in the living room area. Please can we ask that you are responsible with the heating and avoid leaving the heating on when you have all windows open and also when you have checked out. There is unlimited hot water and this can be switched on at any time within the kitchen.

Windows

All four windows in the apartment can be opened and show stunning views of the south Shropshire countryside which gives this apartment its stunning appeal.

Located in Ludlow, this apartment is in the city center and in the mountains. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Shropshire Hills and Shropshire Hills Discovery Centre, while Land of the Lost Content Museum and Tenbury Museum are cultural highlights. Ludlow Food Centre and Clee Hills are also worth visiting. Fishing offers a great chance to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with cycling and hiking/biking trails nearby.
