To the outside of the cottage is roadside parking and an enclosed lawned garden with patio and furniture. The Mill on the Fleet tells the tale of Gatehouses cotton-spinning days. Today, there are several shops in the town including a small supermarket, bank and Post Office, along with two book/gift shops, and two cafes. All four pubs in the town have restaurant facilities and welcome children.
Located in Castle Douglas, this cottage is in a rural area and on the beach. Cairn Holy Chambered Cairn and Broughton House are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Mossyard Beach and Castle Haven Bay. Traveling with kids?
