The Old Stable is a delightful, cosy, semi-detached cottage set in the heart of the popular village of Gilwern, situated amidst the Brecon Beacons and can sleep two people. There is one double bedroom, a shower room and an open plan living area with a kitchen, dining area and sitting area. Outside there is roadside parking opposite the cottage on a first come, first served basis. Ideally placed to explore the Brecon Beacons National Park with its abundance of walking, cycling and pony trekking, The Old Stable is a lovely holiday base.

Roadside parking opposite property on first come, first served basis. Two well-behaved dogs welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop and pub 2 mins walk.

Covering approximately 520 square miles, the National Park surrounds the village providing excellent walking, cycling and bird watching as well as great salmon and trout fishing on the river Usk. Abergavenny, the aptly named ‘Gateway to Wales’ is nestled in the nearby hills and has something for everyone. With its many indoor and outdoor markets, magnificent castle and museums this medieval market town is sure to delight any visitor. Offering fantastic walks for all abilities as well as its own vineyard, the nearby mountain of Sugarloaf is well worth visiting. No matter what time of year, this wonderful little village has something in the area to suit all tastes and budgets.

This cottage is located in Abergavenny. The area's natural beauty can be seen at Brecon Beacons National Park and Clytha Park, while Abergavenny Museum and Castle and Tithe Barn are cultural highlights. Super Tubing and Bowlplex Cwmbran are also worth visiting. Discover the area's water adventures with fishing nearby, or enjoy the great outdoors with hiking and cycling.
