Town: Situated in the heart of beautiful Teesdale is the small hamlet of Mickleton. Close to the villages of Romaldkirk and Middleton. This lovely little hamlet is within a few miles of the market town of Barnard Castle, making it an excellent base from which to explore the region. The village itself is a quaint cluster of houses which flanks the main street and offers a post office, village shop and two pubs. The Pennine and Teesdale Ways run alongside the village and provide excellent walking through beautiful countryside whilst the magnificent waterfalls at High Force are also worth visiting. The stunning countryside in this area also offers great opportunities for bird watching and cycling, making it an excellent vacation spot for those who love the great outdoors.
Located in Barnard Castle, this cottage is in a rural area and on a lake. Eggleston Hall and Bowes Museum are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Yorkshire Dales National Park and North Pennines.
