There are both a local shop and a pub within the village, or visitors can venture further afield to discover the amenities and attractions of historic Alnwick, the bustling Newcastle-upon-Tyne or seaside excitement of Amble.

Located in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, this lodge is in a rural area and on a river. Wallington Hall and Chipchase Castle are local landmarks, and some of the area's activities can be experienced at Cheviot Hills and Macdonald Linden Hall Golf Course. Traveling with kids? Consider Belsay Hall, Castle and Gardens and Kielder Observatory.
