A Grade II listed Georgian family home with 6 bedrooms, beautiful established gardens leading on to the River Swale full of character and peace. A kitchen with balcony, grand drawing room with baby grand piano, a large dining room and living room with log burner fireplace, you won't help but fall in love with this charming house. The romantic master bedroom includes a four poster bed with a generous ensuite 2-person bath and walk-in shower overlooking the gardens and the river.

It has spectacular views of Round Howe, a National Trust area of outstanding beauty with beautiful woodland and riverside walks and fishing rights at the bottom of the garden.

A short walk from the centre of Richmond with its wonderful restaurants, shops, cafes, historic attractions and local cinema. Sleeps 13 guests.

The space:
This Grade II listed historic family home retains many of its original features but provides easy modern living with a mix of period and modern furnishings. It was built in 1826 and was a working paper mill, hence its proximity to the beautiful River Swale. There are historic, special places and surprises throughout the house and in the gardens to explore.

The main living area is on the first floor providing stunning views of the river Swale and gardens. These consist of a Drawing Room with baby grand piano, Dining Room, Living Room with wood burner and Smart TV, Kitchen/breakfast room with a two oven Aga and electric oven and utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.

Upstairs on the top floor there is the Master Bedroom with a four poster bed and en-suite bathroom with a luxurious 2 person bath and a large walk in shower with beautiful views down the river and a television. There are also two other bedrooms (one king and one superking) and family bathroom on this floor with a free standing bath and a walk-in shower.

On the ground floor there is a beautiful entrance hall with a sweeping staircase and three more bedrooms, one of which is self-contained and has its own private entrance, kitchenette, en-suite walk-in shower room and superking bed. Another is a kingsize bedroom with an en-suite walk-in shower room and the third bedroom has a double and single bed in it overlooking the nature pond. There is also a very large space which can be used as an office or a yoga/exercise studio on the ground floor.

Guest access:
Guests can access the whole house and gardens and will have this space to themselves for the entirety of the stay.

Large open room used for events on the ground floor and can be used as a yoga/exercise studio or office.
Full use of the gardens and private wooded walk.
The cellar is full of logs and coal which are free to use.
There is a wood burner in the living room and gas fires in both the sitting and dining room.

There are two ponds in the grounds and a river at the end of the garden with access in two places.
Up to 13 cars can park at the house.
Barbecue available.

Located in Richmond, this vacation home is on the waterfront. Georgian Theatre Royal and Egglestone Abbey are local landmarks, and the area's natural beauty can be seen at Yorkshire Dales National Park and Foxglove Covert Local Nature Reserve. Millgate House Garden and Luke Searle Golf Simulator are also worth visiting. Fishing and swimming offer great chances to get out on the surrounding water, or you can seek out an adventure with hiking and horse riding nearby.
