First Floor:
Bedroom 1: With super kingsize bed and sofa.
Bedroom 2 (accessed via bedroom 1): With zip and link kingsize bed (can be 2ft 6in twin beds on request), twin beds and sofa.. Oil central heating (underfloor on ground floor), electricity, bed linen and towels included. Initial logs for wood burner included. Welcome pack. Large lawned garden with courtyard. Bike store. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking.. Admergill Lodge is situated in the beautiful countryside and benefits from having the Pendle Way right on its doorstep.
The lodge is beautifully styled throughout with oak beams and has been refurbished in 2020 in a sympathetic manner to fit in with the natural surroundings and is a perfect place to relax.
Wildlife is plentiful with a large variety of birds and animals –the owners have also seen otters in the gill which runs through the property and is a perfect haven for lovers of the great outdoors.
Sat in the living room with the double sized wood burner roaring in the colder months or the patio doors opened in the summer is an experience you will not forget. Upstairs are two spacious adjoining bedrooms, comprising a large master bedroom with super kingsize bed leading to bedroom two with a kingsize bed and two singles. The kingsize can be adapted so that the room facilitates four single beds if required.
Downstairs is a well equipped kitchen/dining room with underfloor heating, providing all the comforts of home. The area is also renowned for an array of country dining as well as Michelin star restaurants less than 10 minutes away. The stunning bathroom features a free standing Victorian roll-top bath, perfect for soaking tired muscles. Or, choose the large walk-in shower for an invigorating experience.
The kitchen area provides some amazing views when dining or enjoying a glass of wine whilst cooking and during summer, both sets of doors can be fully opened to bring the outside in, or enjoy some al-fresco dining.
Admergill is nestled in the Pendle district of Lancashire, close to the Forest of Bowland Area, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and famous for its links to the trials of The Pendle Witches in 1612, among the most famous witch trials in English history, and prevalent as you travel through the villages of Roughlee and Barley. Alternatively, why not try out some of the wonderful cycle, walking and hiking routes in the area.
Close by the quaint village of Barrowford is a charming confluence of Pendle Water and Colne Water river, boasting pretty 18th-century cottages and offering a fantastic selection of independent boutiques, country pubs and eateries as well as a wine bar and an award winning supermarket, where you can purchase great local produce.
Flowing through Barrowford is the historic Leeds to Liverpool canal, 127 miles long and hosting 91 locks. There are also plenty of wonderful places to visit within easy driving distance. Haworth and Brontë Country are close, and the market town of Skipton with its medieval castle walls is also within a short drive. Lancashire’s Ribble Valley, with its picturesque villages and welcoming country inns, is within a 10-minute drive and the Yorkshire Dales can be reached in 30 minutes. There are several castles and houses worth visiting, including Gawthorpe Hall, Towneley Hall, and Bolton Abbey as well as the stunning Gisburn Forrest, one of the counties hidden gems and a mecca for the mountain biking enthusiast. There is also golf nearby. Shop 2½ miles, pub and restaurant 500 yards.
