LOCATION & GETTING AROUND

The flat is ideally situated with great walks just a few minutes away, and on one of Edinburgh’s main arterial routes for quick access to the city.

Morningside is the nearest local “village in the city”, it is a 10-15 minutes’ walk away. There you will find pubs, (including the Canny Mans, one of Edinburgh’s oldest), good restaurants, a variety of individual shops for mooching, and M&S Food and Waitrose supermarkets.

Morningside blends into Bruntsfield as you continue towards Edinburgh city centre, with more lovely shops, coffee houses and a good fishmonger and butcher too. By the time you’ve mooched Morningside and Bruntsfield, you are almost in the city centre.

Buses: the bus stop into town is just 3-4 minutes’ walk from the flat. Turn left and walk to the Braid Hills hotel, cutting across their car park where you will find steps leading down to the main road into town (to the right). At the bottom of the steps, if you cross the road, you will find the bus stop to go into town. The stop is called “Braid Hills Hotel”. The number 11 bus runs every 10 minutes during peak times. The number 15 also goes into the city – both stop at Princes Street.

Lothian Buses’ app is easy to use to plan journeys.

Edinburgh’s buses are brilliant; they’re clean, reliable and easy to pay; if you use the same credit or debit card you can hop from bus to bus within a day, and cap your spend at the full-day ticket price, enabling you to get around the city with ease. It takes about 20-25 minutes from the Braid Hills Hotel to Princes Street.

PARKING

The property has a drive-in for one vehicle; if you have more than one, please use Braid Farm Road (diagonally opposite to the left as you look out from the flat) to park additional vehicles, so that neighbours can easily park immediately outside their property. This on-street parking is free of charge.

This vacation home is located in Morningside, a neighborhood in Edinburgh. Edinburgh Castle and Royal Mile are notable landmarks and Edinburgh Zoo is a popular area attraction. Looking to enjoy an event or a game while in town? See what's happening at Edinburgh International Conference Centre or Tynecastle Stadium. Spend some time exploring the area's activities, including golfing.
