Situated in the conservation village of St Monans, it is a great place to explore with quaint lanes, fishermen’s houses and a historic church. Just at the edge of the village there is a windmill that used to power the salt panning industry. Join the Fife Coastal Path that leads either way to attractive old fishing villages, sandy beaches, secluded coves and historic buildings with plenty of places to stop off for refreshments.
It is an ideal location for golfers who will be spoilt for choice with more than 40 golf courses in Fife. St Andrews, ‘the Home of Golf’, is a mere 12 miles away with championship courses to play as well as family friendly courses. Within 10 minutes’ drive the local coastal courses at Anstruther, Elie and Leven all provide unique golfing experiences with spectacular coastal views.

For days out Anstruther offers a great selection of places to eat from award-winning fish and chip shops to a Michelin star restaurant, ice cream parlours and cafés. From April to September there are daily ferries and boat trips leaving from the harbour that take you to the Isle of May National Nature Reserve, home to colonies of sea birds including puffins, and the surrounding waters are the habitat of seal colonies. If you are interested in the history of the area the Scottish Fisheries Museum at the harbour side is well worth a visit.
After all of this sea air you will be looking for a good night’s sleep and all three bedrooms have comfortable zip and link super kingsize beds which can be twin beds on request. The attractive open plan living space looks out across the harbour and the Firth of Forth and is a great place for everyone to gather with plenty of comfortable seating in the living area, and the bright and modern kitchen is well equipped and complete with a dining table. If you want to practice your cooking skills, fresh fish and shell fish can be purchased in St Monans, and the garden, located across the road from the apartment, is ideal for pre-dinner drinks.
