The peaceful village of Velindre sits within the foothills of the Black Mountains, between the traditional market towns of Talgarth (3 miles) and Hay on Wye (5 miles). Situated in a fantastic location, you are within an easy stroll to the village inn and also have easy access to the well marked footpaths that will guide you up into the hills. The area is perfect for outdoor pursuits; you can hire a rowing boat, kayak, Canadian canoe, pedalo, stand up paddle board or fishing boat and go boating on Llangorse Lake (8 miles) the largest natural lake in South Wales. There are activity centres that offer kayaking, climbing, mountain biking and horse riding throughout the area. For the more easy going guests there are some lovely market towns such as Hay on Wye (4.8 miles) the town of books, Crickhowell (15 miles) and Brecon (12 miles), all within easy reach. Enjoying a tranquil village location within the foothills of the Black Mountains, this detached cottage is perfect for families and groups of friends. Step inside to the entrance hall where you can leave your muddy boots on the boot rack provided and hang your coat. The porch offers access into the kitchen/diner, an open plan space that is just perfect for entertaining. The kitchen is both contemporary and well equipped, offering an electric oven and induction hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. For dining there is a generous wooden table with benches; the owner has personalised a OS map so you can plan your day and there are many helpful maps and guidebooks throughout. From here you have access to a cosy lounge that enjoys garden views, a wood burner, comfortable sofa s, Smart TV and a well stocked bookcase with books, board games and puzzles. The hallway offers access into a cosy snug, finished with a corner sofa, Smart TV/DVD and plenty of cushions and throws. There is also a separate WC. Upstairs there are four bedrooms. To the rear of the cottage a generously sized super king size with stunning views across the countryside. A king size bedroom and a double bedroom both enjoy village views. There is a single room with a day bed (that s suitable for an extra adult). Finally, there is a bathroom with a bath and a WC and a shower room with shower and WC. Outside the cottage is surrounded by enclosed gardens that back onto established farmland offering stunning views and enjoying the sun. There is also a patio area with circular table and chairs. A storage shed offers space for bikes and outdoor equipment. The front of the cottage is enclosed with a double wooden gate and offers parking for three cars.
