The village boasts excellent amenities with quality eateries and friendly inns, post office, shop and garage. The immediate area offers fantastic walking and biking routes including the Borders Abbey Way. A beautiful circular walk spanning 65 miles passing Jedburgh (5miles), Melrose, Kelso and Dryburgh s 12th Century Abbeys (17miles). Born in Scotland, a local craft brewery and distillery with a restaurant, grass sledging and outdoor ice skating in the winter months is just 4 miles away. Explore Jedburgh Castle and Jail, Mary and Queen of Scots visitor centre or the grand stately homes of Abbotsford, Mellerstain and Manderson or Floors and Thirlestane castles.
