The immediate area is perfect for walking and biking with the Southern Upland Way, Elidon hills and Glentress Forest nearby. Visit Abbotsford, home of Sir Walter Scott, or enjoy a short train journey from Tweedbank station to the city of Edinburgh. The owner can usually offer doggy day care if you fancy a day exploring Auld Reekie .
