Nestled between the villages of Little Blencow and Greystoke on the north eastern outskirts of the Lake District, this mid terrace barn conversion offers a blend of traditional features and contemporary living. With the National Park only 2 miles away, you can easily explore the fells and lakes, whether you re walking or cycling. Popular Ullswater and Pooley Bridge are 10 miles away or, for something even more peaceful, head to the remote Haweswater. Full of history, this area boasts historic ruins and buildings, as well as being home to several National Trust properties and sights, such as the breathtaking Aira Force waterfall. Shops, eateries and amenities are only 5.5 miles away in the lively town of Penrith. Sympathetically renovated, this charming property radiates style and elegance, with original features sitting effortlessly alongside traditional furniture and decor with a contemporary twist. From the parking area, you pass through the garden and enter into a tiled hallway. Here, you will find plenty of space for your coats and boots. To the right of the hall is the light and airy kitchen/diner, which is fully equipped with everything you ll need for a tasty snack or a four course meal, including an American style fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, toaster and range cooker with a double oven. A handy washing machine is in here too. The island not only provides space for sociable cooking; it also has a breakfast bar for additional seating. There is more formal seating at the dining table, where you can share a meal, play games or plan the next adventure. There is a wall mounted TV should you need extra entertainment. Across the hall and up a single step are two of the bedrooms with a toilet and shower room in between. One of the bedrooms is a twin room with two double beds for a touch of luxury, and double doors let the light flood in as well as allow access to the garden. The other bedroom is an equally well presented cosy double. Both rooms have a TV. Back through the hallway, head up the stairs to the spacious first floor lounge. Exposed beams and a vaulted ceiling add to the sense of grandeur here, as does the carefully selected, statement decor. The wood burner is the focal point of the room with comfy sofas facing it the perfect place to snuggle up of an evening with a glass of wine. The first floor is also home to a large, beautifully finished master king size bedroom, with two chairs and a coffee table for quieter moments during the day, or to take in the beautiful fell views. Adjacent to this is the stunning family bathroom with a separate shower and bath. Outside, there is an enclosed front garden. The small lawn and patio area with dining furniture are perfect for a spot of al fresco dining, whether it be breakfast, lunch or dinner. There is parking for two cars.
