Conveniently situated on the A595, just 3 miles from the pretty market town of Cockermouth and only 16 miles from Keswick, this newly refurbished for 2021 property offers a great base to explore the Northern Lakes. Bassenthwaite Lake and the magnificent fells and peaks of Blencathra and Skiddaw are all within 20 miles. Head to Whinlatter Forest and follow the trails for all walking abilities, if you enjoy mountain biking then there are some great tracks to tackle here. Just 8 miles from the seaside town of Maryport with it's long sandy beaches ideal for your canine pals. On a wet day, why not visit the aquarium or roman museum at Maryport, or the local brewery and distillery tours. As you enter the property, you will head into the bright spacious hallway with a high ceiling and Velux windows. The lounge is to your right, offering a fabulous space to kick back and relax on the corner sofa while watching your favourite series or movies on your Netflix account on the Smart TV. From the lounge, you can see the fells in the distance. Through the hallway, you will come to the kitchen which has a utility area and dining table to enjoy your breakfast or dinner. The kitchen has a country feel and opens onto the enclosed courtyard. The kitchen is well equipped with an electric hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, microwave and washing machine. Heading back through the hall and up the wide staircase to the first floor, you will find two generous sized bedrooms, a twin zip and link (which can be made into a super king size on request) and a king size bedroom, both with low, sloping ceilings. There is a family bathroom on the first floor with a shower over bath and WC, also with a low sloping ceiling. There is a private gravel courtyard with seating and charcoal BBQ, it is a real suntrap and has access out to the private parking area which can accommodate up to two small cars.
