Bungalow in Cumbria, Langwathby

Lake District. Sleeps up to 8

Walkers are well placed to enjoy a variety of trails right from your door. Follow the River Eden along Lady's Walk to a dog friendly pub at Edenhall or, for the more energetic cyclists, challenge yourself by tackling Hartside Pass. Jump on the Settle Carlisle railway, famous for its Victorian architecture, huge stone viaducts and tunnels and a great way to watch the scenery fly by. Historians should visit Hutton in the Forest, a historic house with extensive gardens and Brougham Castle is an evocative ruin that has an atmosphere all of its own. The closest Lake District lake is Ullswater where you can enjoy a lake cruise, enjoy shoreline walks or hire a rowing boat. The walks around the lake and up into the surrounding fells are as numerous as they are beautiful, you will be spoilt for choice. Enter the large hallway which continues as a corridor leading off to the rest of the house. The kitchen is equipped with an electric oven, grill and hob, dishwasher, microwave and a large fridge/freezer with plenty of storage room for supplies and worktop space for preparation. Head through to the light and spacious dual aspect sitting/dining room where large windows to the front and side overlook the garden. The oak dining table seats eight and on warm days, open the patio doors and let the fresh air flood in. Relax on the two comfortable sofas and enjoy a movie night the Smart TV will connect to your Netflix or Prime account. If the adults need some downtime, then the separate snug living room allows them to spread out in their own space. Settle on the sofa, put on a playlist on the Bluetooth soundbar speaker and spend a sociable evening in front of the wood burner. The four bedrooms are simple and considered, with large windows and ample storage. The twin and the super king size bedroom have wooden floors and lovely views over the lawn. The double bedroom has an en suite shower room, and there is a further twin room. The large family bathroom has a bath and separate shower. Outside, the garden wraps around the bungalow with large areas of lawn and mature shrubs. To the front, a paved patio forms a real sun trap; south facing and sheltered with the sun all day and is a lovely spot to sit out and relax and enjoy the views. Bike storage available in the external utility, which also has hanging space for wet weather gear. There is ample parking.
