Northumberland. Sleeps up to 8

Nestling in the heart of picturesque Amble in Northumberland, Number Seventeen offers immaculately presented accommodation in what promises to be a stunning base from which to explore the delights of the region. Ideal for a mixed group of family and friends, the interior has been finished to a high standard with a delightful sitting room welcoming guests into a wonderful space complete with extensive seating, tasteful soft furnishings, wood flooring and a feature ornamental fireplace. When tummies start to rumble, the designated chef will enjoy cooking up a storm in the attractive kitchen which is fully fitted with everything needed and when it’s dinner time, food can be served up in the elegant dining room where there is a rustic dining table just waiting for guests to pull up a chair and tuck into hearty meals together. There are attractive patio doors opening outside, so if it’s warm enough, you can throw open the doors and let the outside in or even take your food and drinks outside for some alfresco time. At bedtime, guests can choose from four stylish bedrooms; they are all different (choose from a cool bunk bedroom, a king-size, a twin and a top floor master suite) but all boast the same attention to detail and chic finish. The master suite is a particular feature with a sumptuous king-size bed, a freestanding roll-top bath in the bedroom and contemporary en-suite facilities. Within a short walk of the property, is the beach, pier, harbour, children’s play area and a good selection of shops and amenities in Amble as well as scenic coastal walks to places such as the bird sanctuary at Hauxley and country park at Druridge Bay. A mile south of Amble is Coquet Island, an RSPB reserve with a large population of terns, puffins and eider ducks and boat trips around the island can be arranged. The pretty coastal villages of Alnmouth and Craster and numerous superb beaches are only a short drive away, whilst picturesque Warkworth with its castle, charming Alnwick with its castle and award-winning gardens, and the National Trust’s Wallington Hall and Cragside are all within easy reach. For the number one holiday of a lifetime, make sure you book a stay at Number Seventeen.
