You will be just a 30 minute drive from the Northumberland Coastal Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and only 3 minutes from the Simonside Hills, ideal for breathtaking walks. From Rothbury you can also easily explore the Cheviot Hills and the Northumberland National Park and its magnificent Dark Skies. You can also visit the vibrant market town of Alnwick, with its famous Castle and the world renowned Alnwick Garden, or explore Brinkburn Priory, Coquet Island, Warkworth Castle and Hermitage, and the lovely village of Bamburgh, with its castle and glorious beach. On entering this fantastic holiday cottage you will find yourself in the spacious and welcoming lounge. Tastefully furnished with a beautiful inglenook fireplace made with some of the original stone from Cragside House, plus a traditional wood burner, Smart TV, pool table and plenty of seating, the light and airy lounge is perfect for relaxing in after a wonderful day. Exploring this superb property further, you will find a dining room where you can enjoy a meal in style. Moving into the stylishly designed kitchen you will find it fully equipped with an AGA style oven with 2 hot plates, 1 oven and a warming oven, integrated fridge drawers, under counter freezer, dishwasher, microwave, 4 slice toaster and cafetiere. The kitchen also features a charming sitting area with chairs and a table. There is also a ground floor utility room with washing machine and WC. Heading upstairs you will find four cosy bedrooms. There s a master bedroom with a king size bed and an en suite bathroom complete with a roll top bath, walk in shower and WC. There s also a double bedroom, a twin room, and a bunk bedroom. You will also find a bathroom complete with a bath, walk in shower and WC. French doors lead you out onto the delightful, private, enclosed patio area with garden table and chairs, plus a couple of bench style seats. This is a lovely, sunny spot in the garden. The garden is filled with beautiful plants, wisteria, honeysuckle and various pot plants. There is ample off road parking available for up to 2 cars (one in front of the other) on the hard standing in front of the cottage. Cyclists can store bikes in the private patio area as there is a lockable gate to the lane for access.
