The property is surrounded by the excellent amenities of Wooler, with this market town described at 'The Gateway to the Cheviots', with the Northumberland National Park very close by, making it an ideal spot for walkers. The Northumberland Coast AONB is also accessible and makes for an adventurous day out for all ages and abilities. Just a short drive or long and relaxing walk will take you to Humbleton Hill, a fantastic viewpoint worthy of the climb, boasting serene views over the surrounding countryside and out over to the coast. Nearby are the fabulous towns of Alnwick and Berwick-upon-Tweed, both offering a good selection of shops, pubs, restaurants and café to keep you fuelled while you explore. The bustling town of Alnwick is known for its striking castle and picturesque gardens, ideal for a relaxing day out. Berwick-upon-Tweed also has its own ancient castle, along with a delightful museum and art gallery if you are looking to embrace the local culture on your holiday. Closer to the cottage, you can give the chef of the group a break from cooking and head out to one of many restaurants offering a range of cuisines such as Milan Restaurant for Italian, and The Anchor Inn for traditional pub grub.
