Perched in the historic town of Kendal in Cumbria is this delightful, two-bedroom, semi-detached house, Viewpoint. Boasting a superb location within the Lake District National Park and enjoying picturesque country views, Viewpoint is a wonderful pet-friendly setting for couples or a family of four, plus their canine companion, for their next adventure to the Lakes. Park-up in the off-road parking space available at the rear of the property, before making your way up the steps to your new home-from-home. Be welcomed into the spacious open-plan living area, where you will find a well-equipped kitchen with all the appliances you will need to conjure up delicious feasts for your loved ones, including a handy dishwasher for those fuss-free clean-ups! Settle down at the dining table for four to tuck-in to your meal, or if the weather is nice, why not dine alfresco out on the private patio where you can savour the last of the day’s sunshine? As the evening cools, retreat to one of two sitting areas, the conservatory where you can enjoy views over the garden and a show on the TV, or the additional sitting room, where you can curl up on the sofa in front of a film on the Smart TV as the gas fire adds a warmth and glow to the space. Completing the ground floor is a handy cloakroom, ideal for avoiding those morning queues! As your eyes grow heavy, climb the stairs to the first floor where you can catch your rest in one of two tastefully decorated bedrooms, a super-king-size and a double with en-suite bathroom, both of which have plenty of storage. Awake from a leisurely slumber and indulge in a soothing soak in the bath or refreshing rinse in the shower, before setting out for the day. Explore the bustling town where you will find the historic Kendal Castle just a short walk away, with its ruined towers and vaults and scenic countryside views, it is the perfect place to explore for the budding historians in your party. Learn more about the town’s rich history and heritage at the Kendal Museum and Quaker Tapestry Museum, or if that isn’t your thing, why not test out your clubs at the excellent 18-hole Kendal Golf Club? Our local cricket cub can sometimes been seen across the way for those that may want to sit in on a game. Those seeking something a little more adventurous can take advantage of the towns climbing centre and snow sports club. Venture further into the National Park and spend the day at Windermere, where you can try your hand at a fantastic selection of watersports on the famous lake, including wakesurfing, kayaking and paddleboarding, soak up the breath-taking views from Orrest Head and Queen Adelaide’s Hill, or wander the exhibits of The World of Beatrix Potter Attraction and the Windermere Jetty Museum. From here you can easily access Ambleside, home to a fascinating 2nd-century roman fort and the picturesque Stock Ghyll Force, or Grasmere, where you can tour the National Trust site of Allan Bank, former home to the literary, William Wordsworth. Escape to the Lakes like never before with a stay at Viewpoint.
