Formally a banked barn dating back to the early 17th century, this spacious Troutbeck self-catering cottage can accommodate up to 8 guests, which makes it perfect for families or groups of friends to get together plus the location makes it ideal for exploring the Lake District National Park.

There are plenty of fantastic walks right from the doorstep including Wansfell Pike with fabulous views over Windermere towards Coniston and the Langdales, some of which are bridleways, so bring the mountain bikes!

For lovers of real ales and good food, The Mortal Man Inn is located across the road and a mere five-minute walk away is The Queens Head gastro-pub - both are family-friendly and both allow dogs!

The driveway offers parking for several cars and a separate single garage is available for the storage of bicycles if required.

Bed linen and towels are provided as well as a starter supply of wood for the log-burner.
Super-fast broadband is available throughout the property and there is a good 4g Mobile signal.
Supermarket delivers are available from all the key supermarket chains.
A local convenience store and a post office are situated along the lane.
2-well behaved dogs are welcome to stay - A charge of GBP15.00 per dog per stay applies. Dogs are not permitted in the bedrooms or on the furniture.
A travel cot and high chair are available on request.

This vacation home is located in Windermere. Old Laundry Theatre and Armitt Museum and Gallery are cultural highlights, and some of the area's landmarks include Townend and Blackwell, The Arts & Crafts House. Holehird Gardens and Treetop Trek are also worth visiting.
