For the walkers and cyclists in your party, there is a 10-mile trail alongside the River Tay, where you can stroll leisurely and watch the world go by. For thrill seekers, there is also the option to take part in white water rafting, paintballing, canyoning and river adventure trips with Splash White Water Rafting. Just a little further is the town of Pitlochry, home to the ruins of the once remarkable Black Castle, here you can learn more about the local area at the Atholl Palace Museum or make a stop at the Pitlochry Fish Ladder. For a superb walk, be sure to visit the Faskally Forest, an area well-known for its hiking and bird watching, as well as a pretty lake.
