West Winnowing is an ideal place to stay for 5 people paying a visit to the Isle of Wight, with spectacular views and a convenient location in the tranquil village of Niton, just 5 miles from the popular seaside resort of Ventnor. Savour the sight of the sea and St Catherine's Point, the southernmost area on the island - you can even see the lighthouse.
This property offers plenty of comfortable living areas on the ground floor, with a spacious sitting area offering comfortable furniture and a set of large french doors with a fantastic view. For a cosier experience, head to the snug, where you'll find a woodburning stove to give the perfect ambience, as well as a TV and DVD player. The dining kitchen has everything you need to whip up a delicious meal, including an electric range style cooker, a microwave, and a fridge-freezer, as well as a dishwasher for cleanup afterwards, and the dining area provides a table and chairs for sit-down meals, as well as access through patio doors to the outside decking. For added convenience, this floor also has a small study area, a cloakroom complete with a WC, and a utility room where you can find a washer/dryer.
The first floor hosts the comfortable bedrooms, one double, one twin, and one single. Also upstairs is the family bathroom with a bath and a separate shower cubicle.
You'll want to spend plenty of time savouring the views, and the garden offers several opportunities to do so, with a decked area as well as two raised patio areas.
West Winnowing makes an ideal location from which to explore the island, perhaps starting with the Buddle Inn, a 17th century real ale pub within easy walking distance. The nearby Isle of Wight Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty offers plenty of rugged and beautiful landscape to explore, whether through walks, cycling, or even horse riding. Head further afield to visit some of the island's spectacular beaches.
