One of two adjoining cottages, this accommodation offers a peaceful location to relax and unwind. Located on a bridleway there is no passing traffic, only wild rabbits, red squirrels and woodpeckers as frequent garden visitors. The adjoining cottage is used only as an occasional retreat by the cottage owner. Beautiful walks can be enjoyed from the front door, through woodland, to the villages of Alverstone and Newchurch, or towards the coast at Sandown, Shanklin and Ventnor. Cyclists can join the nearby Alverstone cycle path which links with Sandown, Newport and Cowes. The Isle of Wight is best known for its sandy beaches and traditional seaside holiday resorts offering plenty of swimming, paddling and beachside relaxation. Further inland sits Borthwood Copse, renowned for its ancient oaks and sweet chestnuts. Enjoy the short woodland walk whilst spotting red squirrels, and at certain times of year, a gorgeous carpet of bluebells. On entering the cottage you ll find the kitchen/diner with electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and a dining table for relaxed meals. A freezer and washing machine are also provided. There is an attractive and comfortable lounge area with Smart TV and DVD player and a bathroom with hand held shower over the bath and a WC. At each end of the cottage there is a sunny conservatory for relaxing and taking in the views. There are three pretty bedrooms up the cottage style stairs one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and one single bedroom the latter is reached by passing through the twin bedroom and down a couple of steps. Outside the cottage is an abundance of land. Set in over three acres of garden and woodland, there s really no reason to leave, particularly with outdoor furniture available for delightful al fresco dining. Off road parking for two cars is available close to the cottage. Access to the cottage is along a single track lane which leads to the bridleway and so is not suitable for low slung vehicles.
