This immaculately presented, three-storey property can be found on the outskirts of the seaside town of Ilfracombe in Devon, a short walk from the beaches and harbour. With five bedrooms and wonderful sea views, Lighthouse View is ideal for a large family gathering wanting to enjoy a coastal retreat to Devon. Entering the property you will see many Victorian period features including the lovely high ceilings, Victorian tiles and cornicing. The sitting room has lovely wooden flooring, a large bay window allowing in plenty of light, a choice of seating with two generous sofas and a comfy looking armchair placed around the feature fireplace, with a TV in the corner so you can enjoy your favourite shows together. Double doors open up into the dining room, with a beautiful vintage-style rug, bookcase with a small selection of books, a fireplace and seating for eight, so you can gather as a group to enjoy a home-cooked meal. The spacious country-style kitchen is equipped with a huge Range cooker, ideal for cooking up delicious meal after delicious meal, along with a range of other amenities, such as a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine tumble dryer and Belfast sink. The property has a choice of five bedrooms, with two king-size, two double and a twin to choose from, all stylishly decorated, spacious and with storage space for your belongings. One of the bedrooms has a telescope where you can admire the night's sky, along with wonderful views of the coast and Hillsborough Fort in the near distance, while the twin and one of the double bedrooms boast stunning feature fireplaces. There are two bathrooms to choose from, one has a bath with electric shower over and one has a walk-in shower, so you can choose how you want to start or end each day. Outside, there is parking on the street and two gardens, a small and pretty garden to the front and a larger south-facing terraced area at the rear with a sunny courtyard, decking area, and a further cobbled terrace with a selection of tropical plants, ideal for enjoying lunch in the sunshine. The centre of the coastal resort of Ilfracombe is just a few minutes walk away, with an idyllic harbour, choice of sandy beaches to stroll along, the South West Coastal path, Devon Cycle Route, and a range of cafés, restaurants and fish and chip shops to enjoy a bite to eat. Ilfracombe Museum is filled with items of natural history as well as cultural relics, the Chapel of St Nicholas is worth paying a visit to and the little ones will love wandering around the aquarium and observing the marine life. Ilfracombe is a great base from which to explore the North Devon coastline; follow the South West Coast Path in a westerly direction and pass a collection of small bays and the 19th Century Bull Point Lighthouse, before reaching Woolacombe and its stunning sandy beach, surrounded by rugged cliffs and dunes and excellent for surfing those large Atlantic waves, while heading east from Ilfracombe will lead you to Combe Martin, a charming village on the edge of the Exmoor National Park with excellent hiking trails, beaches and a fascinating dinosaur museum. Head further into the national park and visit Dunster Castle, a former motte and bailey castle on top a steep hill that has more than 1000 years of history, the idyllic dry valley of The Valley of Rocks, where you can see goats roaming and glorious panoramic coastal views, and for more excellent coastal views, take a trip on the Lynton & Lynmouth Cliff Railway, a water-powered funicular railway that joins the towns of Lynton and Lynmouth and at the top, enjoy a cream tea at the Grade II listed Cliff Top café. Lighthouse View is an excellently located holiday home for exploring the North Devon coastline and the nearby Exmoor National Park.
