Ideal for couples, it’s just 90 minutes from London Victoria by train, perfect for those looking for a relaxing break on the vibrant south coast of England.
This well-equipped apartment, adjacent to the owner’s home, has a relaxing and chilled out vibe about it, and there are plenty of interesting pieces of art to be found on the walls in and around the home which have been lovingly hand-picked by the owner for her guests to enjoy. Considering its proximity to the town and seafront, it’s an amazingly quiet location, perfect for a great night’s sleep, and the owner’s delightful rear garden (which the apartment overlooks) flourishes with wildlife. During the day time, a space is reserved for you to have access to a small patio area with bistro table and chairs. It’s a lovely little space to have breakfast in summer or unwind and enjoy a glass of something in the afternoon.
Worthing itself is a vibrant, delightful and traditional British seaside town where you can hire bikes, stroll along the pier and try some excellent ice cream, go fishing or take in a show at the theatre. The town also makes a perfect base from which to explore the wider Sussex area, once home to Oscar Wilde, Jane Austen and Harold Pinter. Artists have long been attracted to Worthing, so come along and visit the artist studios and take home an original souvenir of your memorable break on the south coast. Why not spend the afternoon at the oldest working cinema in the UK, The Dome? Enjoy a film and relish the time with your loved one.
For those seeking open green spaces, head towards the magnificent South Downs National Park. A few miles to the west, you will find the historic port of Littlehampton, and to the east lies the cosmopolitan city of Brighton and the town of Hove, with attractions ranging from Regency terraces and the Royal Pavilion, to the trendy Lanes district and the British Airways i360 observation tower. Further afield, the Sussex countryside is home to open-air museums, stately homes, wildlife parks and Roman remains. Arundel and Chichester are both within easy reach, with their antique shops, cathedrals and castle, while racecourses at Goodwood and Fontwell are only a few miles beyond. Beach 350 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 350 yards.
