The Palace Cottage is conveniently situated on the Crudie to Gardenstown Road with mainly farm traffic and easy access on to the A98 making it a great base for exploring all this area has to offer. Sleeping up to four people comfortably in two bedrooms, the detached property is set on a working beef farm. It has been decorated to a very good standard, and benefits from a lovely large garden. Although the garden is not enclosed, the large field attached provides a great space to enjoy the Scottish countryside. The bright living room benefits from an abundance of natural light thanks to the three windows. On colder days, the wood burner provides a lovely cosy feel, making the room a great place in which to relax and unwind. With many great days out to be had in the local area, the Palace Cottage is a fabulous place to base yourself for the best this Scottish area has to offer.
When you tire of the stunning hill views, why not visit Macduff? With its aquarium, distillery and lovely harbour, it’s a great day out for all the family.
If you prefer golf then the Royal Tarlair Golf Club is only 7 miles away. You will also find golf at Fraserburgh along with the Scottish Lighthouse Museum, about 20 miles away. The RSPB Troup Head is well worth a visit, also the stunning coastal villages of Crovie and Gardenstown.
There are many walks to be taken in this area of historic Banffshire, and a good mixture of terrain and distance should provide something for all levels. Who can forget the Scottish whisky, with many famous distilleries within driving distance? If beer is your preferred tipple, then the Brewdog Brewery is situated at Ellon, 25 miles away. The Palace Cottage is in the perfect place to return to after your busy day out exploring. Beach 2½ miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 2 miles.
