Roses climb the walls of this sturdy stone-built cottage, which is single-storey and therefore suitable for the less mobile. Our two cottages (Steading Cottage and North Mains Cottage) stand in the grounds of Craigievar Castle, a magnificent tower-house with intriguing turrets. A delightful woodland walk gives extensive views over the surrounding 90 acres, also in the Trust's ownership. Craigievar Castle lies between the rivers Dee and Don and is ideally situated for touring. This lovely cottage is part of a group of houses and outbuildings, the cottage has an attractive outlook facing the castle, and is built around a small cobbled courtyard.
