One bedroom apartment in a quiet residential location in central Dunfermline just ten minutes walk to the town centre, the historic abbey, palace ruins and other historic sites in the beautiful Pittencrief Park, know locally as The Glen.
The apartment comprises the upper floor of a two storey building with its own private staircase. There is a double bedroom attractively furnished in pine with access to the shower room/toilet off the bedroom,
The living room has cosy sofas, a 40 inch flat screen TV, free WiFi .
Heating is by means of an electric stove heater and radiators, the cost of fuel being born by the owners.
There is a small kitchenette adjacent to the living room containing toaster, kettle, coffee machine and fridge and a microwave for warming up ready made meals etc. There is no conventional oven, or hob.
For those traveling light we provide a washing machine/dryer.

Food can be obtained from the corner shop less than five minutes walk from the apartment or from Tesco, open 7 .00am to 11.00pm (8am to 8pm on Sunday) about ten minutes walk from the apartment, and from lots of outlets in town and surrounding streets. Really desperate, then there is a 24/7 Asda at Halbeath Retail Park about two miles away.
The town has numerous cafes and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets, including the inevitable Starbucks, Costa and Cafe Nero to the more interesting unique ones in the museum, Old Fire Station, Alhambra Theatre and Pittencrief Park. For retail therapy there are again the usual Marks and Spencer and Primark as well as local retailers.

The apartment is just ten minutes walk to the bus/coach station in the town centre and a pleasant 20 minutes walk through the Glen to the train station with its regular service to Edinburgh. As well as Edinburgh, the ancient city of Stirling with its Castle and St Andrews, the home of Golf and ancient university and ecclesiastical town are within easy reach, as are the numerous picturesque fishing villages along the Fife coast, and the towns of Culross, Falkland and Aberdour with which fans of Outlander will already be familiar. There is a regular bus service to Glasgow which takes about 1 hr 15 mins. Loch Leven with its island castle in which Mary Queen of Scots was imprisoned, and from which she escaped, is just a short drive away; boat trips to the island across the loch in summer.
Dunfermline itself has much to offer with its Abbey, and remains of its Royal Palace the birthplace of Charles, and award winning new museum.
As well as the Alhambra there is also Carnegie Hall, and don't forget to visit the Birthplace Museum of its benefactor Andrew Carnegie.

Located in Dunfermline, this apartment is in the city center. Townhill Country Park and Lochore Meadows Country Park reflect the area's natural beauty and area attractions include Edinburgh Zoo and Knockhill Racing Circuit. Deep Sea World and Potter About are also worth visiting. Be sure to check out the area's animals with activities such as game walks and birdwatching.
