Leven: a medium sized town, long sandy beach with adjacent golf course, amusement arcades. Largo: ancient fishing village where Alexander Selkirk, on whom Daniel Defoe based his Robinson Crusoe character, was born.
Elie, Earlsferry, St Monans, Pittenweem, Anstruther, Crail: string of incredibly picturesque old fishing villages, with coastal walks and street after street of ancient fishermen's cottages to stroll along. Elie has a large sandy beach with family water sport facilities. St Monans has a windmill. Pittenweem is still a centre for fishing. Visit North Quensferry & Deep Sea World with its underwater tunnel and large collection of sharks. Take a boat trip to Inchcolme Island And Abbey with its fantastic bird life.
Culross: perfectly preserved medieval Scottish town complete with cobbled streets, visit the Abbey and Church, the 17th C. Town House and 'Palace'.
