In a superb, secluded setting by the seashore, with its own pebble beach just 50 yards away, this single-storey cottage is surrounded by a wonderfully rugged coastline, with a view of Clew Bay from the patio. Set on the owner’s working farm, it is comfortably furnished and has its own garden. It is set on the Wild Atlantic Way, close to the beautiful beach at Old Head with Croagh Patrick as a backdrop. There are miles of beautiful, quiet country road walks, many along the coastal route. The Great Western Greenway cycle/walking route starts in Westport and continues all the way to Achill. Within 1½ miles there is a choice of lovely sandy beaches, perfect for surfing, and there are daily ferries out to Clare Island from nearby Roonagh Quay. The village of Louisburgh (1 mile) offers excellent pubs and a good restaurant. Westport, 14 miles, is a town of picture-postcard prettiness, with a small zoo, lake and park as well as a heritage centre dealing with local history. Sea angling can be arranged from here, as can salmon fishing and boat hire.. Approximate distance to Knock Airport is 76.5 km.
