Located within easy driving distance of 4 heritage towns of Tipperary, Cashel, Lismore and Cahir, the latter often referred to as the ’crossroads of the South of Ireland.’ Its location is a walkers’ paradise, with a 4-mile circular walk beginning at the park entrance and two national loop walk trail-heads in the Glen of Aherlow, as well as lake walks and unlimited trekking in the Galtee Mountains. Other attractions include Tipperary Excel Heritage Centre, Rock of Cashel, Brú Ború Heritage Centre, Cahir Castle, Swiss Cottage and spectacular Mitchelstown Caves.
