Entering the property from the back will bring you to the kitchen, where you will enjoy preparing a loving meal for the family, hopefully with some help, although compact, it still has all you could want. Serve up on the dining table in the next room and enjoy some quality time together, and discuss what activities you'll do next and where you want to spend your week. The sitting room will be your favourite place to relax, with a plush seating arrangement and a woodburning stove, on a cooler evening you won't want to move from this inviting spot. When it's time to go to bed, there are three delightful bedrooms to choose from; a king-size, a double, and a twin room, providing you with an arrangement that will be suitable for most parties. On a warm summer’s day sit outside on the patio and watch as the children play on the large lawned garden, with green fields stretching as far as the eye can see. Athea itself is home to a few local pubs and a local shop with other amenities for you to enjoy. The lively town of Listowel has a good selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants for you to try, as well as a weekly farmers’ market, Listowel is a lovely place to spend a lazy afternoon, plus the town is situated on the banks of the River Feale, which offers fantastic fishing opportunities. Within easy driving distance of your cosy cottage are many popular attractions and destinations to pack into your holiday such as the beachside golf course at Ballybunion and the wild and rugged county of Clare, just a short ferry journey away. Alternatively, if you venture further south you can spend a day exploring the sights of Tralee, one of Kerry’s largest towns. From Tarbert you can take the ferry across the Shannon Estuary to the rugged and beautiful county of Clare, where you can drive along the Loop Head Peninsula to see its iconic lighthouse, or venture a little further and experience the Cliffs of Moher, Ireland’s most visited natural attraction. Dirreen House is a lovely property you will enjoy taking your family to and immersing yourself in the wonders of Ireland.
