Hillside Cottage is in the heart of the village of Lydbrook and makes a fabulous base from which to explore the Forest of Dean or merely take a relaxing break at this delightful spacious property. This end of terrace property is set over three floors with a modern kitchen/dining room, a utility room and a shower room on the lower ground floor. There is a cosy wood burner in the living room making the cottage ideal for a break at any time of year. There are two lovely bedrooms on the ground floor and from the master bedroom there is a fabulous view of Lydbrook.
There are superb walks from the property and some spectacular views from the steep slopes of the village. Once a valley that was alive with industry this village is now mainly residential. Lydbrook is an ideal location for the outdoors and activities and close to the heart of The Forest of Dean and Symonds Yat. For those looking to cycle there is a cycle path that runs through the village, or if you prefer a slower pace this can also be walked. The river that runs through Lydbrook is a hive of activity in the summer with canoeists and kayakers. Places of interest to visit include Coleford, 4 miles, Ross-on-Wye, 7 miles and Monmouth, all of which are great places to visit and are steeped in history. Whatever you decide to do for your holiday Hillside Cottage will provide a home from home base from where you can explore this stunning area. Shop ⅓ miles, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
