Meadow Lodge @ Berrys Place Farm, Churcham

Gloucestershire. Sleeps up to 4

Tucked away on the outskirts of Huntley, Gloucestershire is this romantic, contemporary lodge, Meadow Lodge @ Berrys Place Farm. An ideal countryside retreat for up to four, this snug abode is in a beautiful setting on 8-acres of grounds with meadows, an orchard and fishing lake, whilst being within easy reach of the Cotswolds and the Wye Valley AONB. The lodge has an impressive, bespoke design with two separate pods with an interconnecting door, and a classic wooden interior paired with contemporary home comforts. Be welcomed by an open-plan living space where you can prepare basic meals in the kitchen area, equipped with a two-ring induction hob, microwave, and fridge/freezer. Serve a romantic dinner for two at the dining table, followed by a cold beverage on your private patio with outdoor seating; sit back and take in your tranquil, country surroundings. Back inside, snuggle up on the large sofa to watch TV, before retiring for the night. Freshen up in the walk-in shower, while the heated rail keeps your towel warm, and catch your rest in the double bed just next door. Start your day with a wander around the well-kept grounds with plenty of picnic spots, outdoor seating, and why not pack your fishing gear and head to the lake? Nearby, you'll find The Fairview Gardener & Tea Room, The Kings Head pub, and a convenience store in the village of Huntley. For a change of pace, the city of Gloucester is a short drive away with its majestic, 11th-century Cathedral, Barnwood Park and Arboretum, and tours of the historic Gloucester Prison, all surrounded by nature reserves and country parks. The Cotswolds are just nearby for romantic days out exploring honey-coloured villages, plenty of walks through the likes of Haresfield Beacon & Standish Wood, and historic sites such as Great Witcombe Roman Villa and the quirky Painswick Rococo Garden. More idyllic walks await to the north through the Malvern Hills AONB, or perhaps you'd prefer walking, cycling and canoeing through the Wye Valley? Be sure to stop off at Ross-on-Wye for riverside walks, the Thomas Blake Memorial Garden, and the nearby Ross-on-Wye Golf Club. The valley is home to a number of attractions such as the ruins of Goodrich Castle, hikes up Coppett Hill, the sprawling Forest of Dean, and the National Trust's The Kymin. Discover a spectacular region of England with your other half at Meadow Lodge @ Berrys Place Farm.
