Lawned garden with patio and garden furniture. 50-acre natural grounds with woodland (shared with other properties on-site). 1 dog welcome, to be kept on a lead at all times (sheep country). Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: The property has a natural water supply from a spring. There is an unfenced stream in the garden, 10 yards away.. Just 4 miles from the sandy beaches of the Pembrokeshire coastline, Penfiedr is a comfortable, detached, stone barn conversion, which is set deep within the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park on a working sheep farm. It shares a courtyard with three other properties, and enjoys excellent walking (via a public footpath across farmland) and bird-watching from the doorstep. This detached stone cottage offers the perfect base with a cosy living room complete with wood burner and focal inglenook fireplace, along with French doors leading to your private terrace with stunning views of Carningli Mountain. The open plan kitchen and dining area is perfect for formal dining to celebrate a special occasion or enjoy a cooked breakfast, while both bedrooms have been thoughtfully furnished to a good standard. Penfiedr has shared Wi-Fi that can be accessed in the yard outside (details can be found in the property).
The cottage sits in landscaped grounds with 700 holly trees, and being withinin the National Park, there are tracks from the cottage providing access to excellent walks, including the adjoining Carningli Mountain, as well as walks through the ancient wood of Ty Canol to Pentre Ifan Cromlech. A short drive away is the popular coastal village of Newport. Complete with a wide range of eateries specialising in organic and home grown produce locally sourced, coupled with some traditional Welsh pubs with local ales making it the perfect spot to explore after a busy day sightseeing in Pembrokeshire. Newport Sands beach is about 10 minutes away and offers the perfect beach for all ages, here you can make sandcastles, discover rock pools or take a stroll with golden sand beneath your toes. A great day out for all is the walled town of Tenby complete with its sandy beach, Oakwood, Wales largest them park, Heatherton World of Adventure and Folly Farm Zoo are all within a 40-minute drive for fantastic family days out. Beach 4 miles. Shop, pub and restaurant 3 miles.
