Featuring a cosy sitting room and well-equipped kitchen/diner on the ground floor, Acorn Cottage is a delightful base to return to after a day exploring the Dales. You can curl up with your loved one on the sofa, turn on the electric woodburner-effect stove and enjoy a peaceful night in together. The first floor plays host to a lovely double bedroom and an additional single bedroom. There is also an accompanying bathroom and separate toilet for your convenience. Outside, you can enjoy alfresco dining on the patio as the pleasant sounds of the countryside greet you on a balmy afternoon. The area has many walks on offer and a lovely golf course just a stroll away. The hamlet of Thornton is the birthplace of the Bronte sisters, whilst the village of Haworth offers cobbled streets and antique shops. Discover the town of Halifax with its historic Piece Hall and Bradford showcasing its beautiful Alhambra Theatre. Nearby, the famous Worth Valley Railway, brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, makes a lovely day out, with a regular service to the village of Oxenhope. The area surrounding your Yorkshire Dales cottage abounds with popular places to visit, including the Bronte Parsonage Museum and the National Railway Museum in York. The market town of Skipton is just a short drive away, whilst Harrogate and the cities of Leeds and Manchester are also within easy reach. A wonderful Yorkshire cottage hideaway, perfect for exploring all the area has to offer.
