The hamlet of Thornton is the birthplace of the Bronte sisters, whilst the village of Haworth offers cobbled streets and antique shops. Discover the town of Halifax with its historic Piece Hall and Bradford showcasing its beautiful Alhambra Theatre. Nearby, the famous Worth Valley Railway, brought to prominence in the film The Railway Children, makes a lovely day out, with a regular service to the village of Oxenhope. The area surrounding your Yorkshire Dales cottage abounds with popular places to visit, including the Bronte Parsonage Museum and the National Railway Museum in York. The market town of Skipton is just a short drive away, whilst Harrogate and the cities of Leeds and Manchester are also within easy reach.
