The Shearer's Hut is a detached stone building in the village of Holme, West Yorkshire. The nearby market town of Holmfirth, which can be reached easily on local bus, offers a wider selection of amenities such as pubs with on-site breweries, artisan bakers, great cafes and restaurants plus attractions such as the infamous Picture Drome music venue, Ashley Jackson's Gallery, the Holmfirth Vineyard. Annual festivals such as the September food and drink festival, the May folk festival, the June Arts festival, the July Motor sport festival and regular music and film festivals ensure that there is something for everyone.
