Bay Cottage, Haworth

West Yorkshire. Sleeps up to 2

An outstanding, stone-built, terraced cottage, occupying a superb elevated position in the village of Haworth, home of the famous Bronte sisters. Set over three floors, the cottage has been renovated to a very high standard and provides unusual accommodation, making it an ideal holiday home for a romantic break in this fabulous location. One of our premier cottages with immense character and charm throughout, it features a spacious lower ground floor kitchen/diner with unusual curved ceiling, and part of the stone floor has been glassed over to provide a viewing point down into the old well. The ground floor features a spacious sitting room with original beams, exposed stonework, and a warm and cosy sitting area with a woodburning stove. A first floor bedroom offers a king-size bed with an en-suite, exposed A-frame beams, a lovely window seat and a feature stone fireplace with another woodburning stove. The accommodation is a wonderful combination of the old and the new and provides a first-class holiday home in a great location, just a few yards from the head of the high street. The town is steeped in literary history, being formerly home to the Bronte sisters. Haworth has much to offer including traditional pubs, restaurants and cafes, and a variety of walks allowing visitors to follow the trails of Heathcliffe and Catherine along the famous Top Withens. Nearby Skipton was voted as the Best Place to Live in Britain in 2014, with its cobbled streets and delightful castle, while further afield is the Victorian spa town of Harrogate, boasting fabulous shops, an excellent theatre and the fantastic Royal Pump Room Museum. Bay Cottage is a holiday cottage of real character and style.
