Old Hall Cottages, Mayfield

Derbyshire. Sleeps up to 4

Situated on lovely grounds with views towards the countryside, Old Hall Cottages is an excellent addition to Mayfield, on the southern end of the Peak District National Park. Perfect for couples or a small family, this retreat is furnished to a fabulous standard, presented in a lovely fashion for you and your loved ones to enjoy. Enter inside to the spacious kitchen with its cream units and marble-effect counter tops, look forward to preparing those delicious meals throughout the day. From here, make your way to the lounge, a cosy set-up with comfy seatin and an electric woodburner-effect fire with a stone surround, for a characterful finish. The neighboring dining area is a wonderful place to gather with the family, settle down and discuss those up and coming plans as the night draws in. Upstairs, two bedrooms await, the first is designed as a lovely king-size with bedside tables, a dressing table, and an outlook which leans towards the peaceful countryside. The pretty twin room is equally as calming, a wonderful formation centred by a chest of drawers, all with antique pine beds and wondrous carvings. The tasteful family bathroom completes the property, arranged with a shower above the bath. Make time to appreciate the beautiful scenery in your leisure hours, by relaxing outdoors on the patio area situated to the front of the cottage. Or why not take a stroll around the area, or even cycle to be at one with the location in its entirety? The nearby market town of Ashbourne with its eccentric street plan, narrow cobbled alleys and quaint coaching inns is something of a haven for antique hunters, together with many great antique stores, as well as a variety of pubs and restaurants. The Dove and Manifold Valleys lie close by and both Carsington Water and Alton Towers rest within a 20 minute drive. Old Hall Cottages is a retreat not to be missed.
