This 1840's cottage lies in the village of Drayton, a suburban village in the county of Norfolk and district of Broadland 4.3 miles (6.9 km) north west of Norwich it has a population of approx 6000 people. The parish church is St Margaret's which was built in the 13th century, but had to be substantially rebuilt in the 19th century, after the tower collapsed in 1850. with local amenities on the doorstep and Norwich a short distance away. Perfect for couples or friends, this charming retreat is homely and inviting, making a comfortable place to return to after a day exploring the local area and beyond. The entrance porch leads you inside to a country cottage kitchen, modernised to a lovely standard, with stylish units and countertops. You can all get together for an evening meal in the dining room, then settle down in the cosy lounge, which houses sumptuous sofas and a central feature fireplace. Enjoy some leisure time here, then choose from two wonderful bedrooms; both have been fabulously accessorized, the first boasts a beautiful double zip/link bed, whilst the second is presented as a spacious master suite facing the rear of the property. The family bathroom is situated on the ground floor and the contemporary furnishings create a lovely place to get ready throughout the day. With a pretty courtyard outside, tucked away beneath a leaved archway, you can really take in the surroundings while relaxing on the furniture away from it all. Drayton village is self-contained, it has many amenities including a petrol station, Barclays Bank, post office, butcher, doctors’ surgery and a late-night pharmacy, Lloyd's chemist, baker, patisserie, florist, four hairdressers, beautician, dress shop, several public houses including the Cock Inn and the Red Lion, and Stower Grange hotel and restaurant. It also has a Tesco supermarket. Also within easy reach at Thorpe Marriott is a fish and chip shop and at Taverham a comprehensive Garden Centre and collection of craft shops and a popular tea room. There is a popular children's playground only few mins from the cottage. Norwich offers art galleries, museums, theatres and cinemas, as well as beautiful parks and gardens. Visit its stylish pubs, cafés and restaurants and make the most of its excellent shopping facilities. Tour the city by open-top bus, along cycle pathways, or walk one of its many trails, not forgetting the river walk. Some of the more popular places to visit include The Aviation Museum, Taverham Mill Nature Reserve and Dinosaur Park. The coastline is also within easy travelling distance. A destination to be enjoyed all-year-round and is excellent for birdwatching.
