The Cottage, Fakenham

Norfolk. Sleeps up to 4

Fakenham is one of Norfolk's traditional country towns, which has a good selection of shops, pubs and restaurants and three supermarkets. It has hosted a weekly market since 1250, and although the goods provided for sale may have changed somewhat, together with the auction it still provides a very popular day out for bargain hunters! The town also has a cinema and a ten-pin bowling alley as well as a National Hunt racecourse. Fakenham is just ten miles from the sandy beach at Holkham, two miles from Pensthorpe Nature Reserve, as featured in the BBC Springwatch nature programme, and two miles from The Hawk and Owl Trust at Sculthorpe.

The Cottage is a beautifully presented holiday cottage, which retains much of its original character, including pamment floors and original fireplaces. It is quietly situated yet within easy walking distance of the town centre. There is a very attractive good-sized garden at the rear of the cottage. Shop: 300 yards Pub: 400 yards
