Set on a working farm, this cosy cottage is situated in beautiful countryside and ideally located for exploring the surrounding area of West Yorkshire.. 2 steps to entrance.

Kitchen/dining room: With electric oven, electric hob, microwave, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine.
First Floor:
Bedroom: With zip and link kingsize bed (can be 2ft 6in twin beds on request), Freeview TV, beams and en-suite with bath, shower cubicle and toilet.. Oil central heating, electricity, bed linen, towels and Wi-Fi included. Initial logs for wood burner included. Small courtyard with garden furniture and barbecue. Private parking for 2 cars. No smoking. Please note: No children under 16 years old. There is a step in the courtyard.. Far Barsey Cottage can be found on the site of Far Barsey Farm Shop in the heart of wonderful Calderdale, West Yorkshire. Completely renovated in 2018, this semi-detached cottage is set on the owner’s working farm and is surrounded by stunning countryside. Beautifully cosy, Far Barsey Cottage provides perfect holiday accommodation for two guests. The on-site farm shop offers everything required for a simple tea or the ultimate dinner party, and if you don’t fancy cooking there are several local eateries within 2 miles.
The village of Ripponden is around a 5-minute drive and offers a small high street with shops, cafés and an award-winning restaurant. Calderdale’s largest town, Halifax, can be reached in around 15 minutes, and you’ll find stunning Victorian architecture such as the unique Piece Hall and the Halifax Minster, together with markets, independent and high street shops and many great places to eat and drink. Hebden Bridge is around a 30-minute drive, and is a fabulously diverse, bohemian town with a good selection of restaurants, bars, bistros, markets and art galleries. Haworth, home of the Brontë heritage and the Keighley and Worth Valley Steam Railway is around 45 minutes’ drive away. The other direction leads you to Holmfirth, most recognized as the back drop to Last of the Summer Wine, and the fabulous Peak District National Park, both of which can be reached in around 30 minutes.
Far Barsey Cottage is ideally located for outdoor enthusiasts with a variety of activities available in the surrounding area. For keen cyclists, there is a range of cycle paths to suit all ages and abilities, with the National Cycle Route 68 passing close by. Alternatively, why not explore the beautiful scenery of the area on foot following one of the many walks available throughout Calderdale? There are also a number of golf courses in the area, perfect for whiling away a sunny afternoon. Shop 10 yards, pub serving food ½ mile.
