The Old School House is a beautiful, character holiday house in the heart of the pretty village of Week St Mary, close to the breathtaking beaches of Bude and Widemouth Bay in North Cornwall. Forming part of the old school house, built in 1906, this delightful, semi-detached property retains many of its original features with lovely parquet floor and wood panelling in the living/dining area and has distant sea views from the master bedroom. It is the perfect holiday choice for couples, families, friends, dog owners and cyclists with a well-stocked village shop and pub close by and just a short drive from the coast. Week St Mary village is surrounded by beautiful rolling hills and magnificent scenery. Country walks and public woodland surround the village and are ideal for dog walking or wildlife spotting and there are many dog friendly beaches along this stunning coast. The National cycle route 304 and Cornish Way cycle routes pass through the village making this an excellent spot for cycle enthusiasts, and golf is also available locally.
Bude with its historic castle, vibrant town centre and vast array of good restaurants and bars along with three more glorious sandy beaches and stunning coastal path, is just 7 miles away. The picturesque fishing villages of Tintagel, Rock and Padstow are close by, and the wild beauty of Dartmoor and Bodmin Moors are all within easy driving distance, as is the famous Eden Project. Port Isaac, made famous in the TV series ’Doc Martin’, is worth a visit, as is Boscastle. For family fun the Big Sheep and Milky Way adventure parks are not to be missed. Beach 5 miles. Shop 700 yards, pub 170 yards and restaurant 5 miles.
