The local pub is a short walk away, and there is plenty to explore in the local area. The picturesque, royal harbour area has many bars and cafés open all year round and boasts incredible views across to France on a clear day. The town also boasts a variety of beaches. The area is steeped in history with its stunning architecture and heroic role it played in World War II. There are miles of walks, including the famous Viking Trail, plenty of cycle routes, three large golf courses and several nature reserves at Pegwell and Sandwich.
There are good transport connections to London by either train or bus, or visit Ashford for rail connections to enjoy a day trip to France. Canterbury, with its incredible cathedral, boutique shops and dominant city walls, can be quickly reached by bus, train or car. Beach 100 yards. Shop and restaurant ¼ mile, pub 100 yards.
